• Founder of laparoscopic bariatric and metabolic surgery in the Central Asia.
• Was the first in the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2008 who began to perform and train to bariatric surgeries. Was the first who performed laparoscopic gastric bypass on the master class in the Republic of Uzbekistan arranged by the company
  Medtronic in 2015.
• A member of the General Council of the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO) since 2015.
• After completion on one-year internship training in the A. N. Kabanov clinic in Omsk city worked in the capacity of Chief of Surgery in one of district hospitals in Omsk region since 1988 to 1991.
• Upon completion of which he worked up to 2003 in the leading clinics of Omsk city. In 1994 defended Candidate’s dissertation, and Ph.D. thesis in 2003.

Main areas of clinical and scientific activity:

• Gastric shunt procedures (gastric bypass) in case of obesity and diabetes mellitus type 2
• All kinds of obesity surgery and associated diseases, including diabetes mellitus type 2, arterial hypertension, fatty liver disease, dyslipidemia, infertility etc.;
• Laparoscopic treatment of hiatal hernia;
• Endoscopic fundoplication in case of gastroesophageal reflux disease;
• Endoscopic subfascial dissection of perforating (communicant) veins in case of varicose disease and chronic stasis leg ulcer.

Education

• 1988 – completed the department of general medicine of Omsk State Medical Institute
• 1991-1993 – completed training in residency in Omsk State Medical Academy

Achievements and awards

• Obtained the following rank for introduction of laparoscopic and bariatric surgeries in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan in 2017: “Emeritus Professor of the National Surgeon’s Center named after academician M.M. Mamakeyev”.
• Outstanding worker of public health service of the Republic of Kazakhstan
